The company was facing serious challenges in warehouse logistics. With more than 180 thousand SKUs and constant changes in the product range, picking and distribution processes became extremely difficult. This led to low inventory management efficiency and increased order processing time.
To solve these problems, Leo Ceramika chose a comprehensive approach to warehouse logistics management. First, a warehouse logistics development strategy was adopted, which included the introduction of a warehouse process automation system.
The implementation of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) enabled Leo Ceramika to optimize inventory management and order picking processes. This approach also included the creation of a system for monitoring inventory and determining optimal delivery times.
The results of the WMS implementation were impressive. Leo сeramika was able to reduce the number of employees in the warehouse by 24%, increase the efficiency of warehouse space utilization by 35%, and reduce order picking time by 45%. Most importantly, the percentage of discrepancies between inventory and actual balances has virtually dropped from 11% to 0.3%, which has significantly improved the accuracy of accounting and the matching of inventory to orders.
